I served as Communications Director for FIGMENT NYC for the 2014 season. FIGMENT NYC Weekend 2014 brought over 250 artists, 500 volunteers, and 30,000 participants to Governors Island for a weekend of art   in every imaginable medium. FIGMENT NYC hosted 400,000 visitors during the season.

I recruited, trained, and managed a team of volunteers. I oversaw the revision of all content on the FIGMENT NYC website to make it welcoming to a broader audience. I handled event promotions and worked with the media to solicit projects and promote the event. I worked to recruit artists and architects to participate in our exhibitions and architectural pavilion competition. My team populated FIGMENT’s iphone app. I managed our email newsletters, as well as our social media accounts. Organic Facebook reach went from 0 to 96,000 in 3 months. FIGMENT NYC gained over 600 Facebook likes during the two day event. I worked with people from across the organization to coordinate the production of event signage.
